Since opening Bayside Pool & Spa has been repairing swimming pool and spa pumps, from replacing small items such as internal o-rings or mechanical seals to complete sandblasting and painting to remove corrosion between the motor and wet end.

Pool and Spa Pump Maintenance

A sure sign that your pool pump is not healthy is the sound, loud pump is a sign of the bearings needing to be replaced. If there is leaking from the bottom of the pump or between the wet end of pump and the motor there is a good change the mechanical seal needs replacing.

If left un-serviced it is common for swimming pool pumps to need a complete repair replacing seals, gaskets, capacitors, bearings, internal washers and more. This can be quite an expensive exercise. Bayside Pool & Spa recommended a audio and visual inspection every six months to make sure the tell tail signs of wear are seen to, this can be done by any pool or spa owner which can limit the repair cost dramatically.

Pool or Spa Pump Replacement vs Repair

Depending on the brand and model of the pool pump for repair, if the repair if more than ⅔ of the worth of the pump generally it is deemed uneconomical to repair. Alternatively a replacement pool or spa pump that will suit your needs can be suggested by one of our friendly staff.

How long do Repairs take?

If parts are in stock or available from the manufacturer, we can complete your repair in 2 - 3 business days. Payment is required upon picking up any repaired pool or spa pump.
